Cassiobury Court now offers comprehensive treatment services for patients suffering from an assortment of mental health problems. Cassiobury Court is a twenty-one bedroom rehabilitation centre nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside. Patients attend our luxurious nineteenth-century residential rehab centre for around twenty-eight days. During this time patients receive a mixture of therapies that aim to treat to underlying causes of mental health problems. These therapies include ‘talking therapies’ such as cognitive behaviour therapy and psychotherapy, as well as a range of ‘holistic therapies’ such as yoga, meditation, Reiki and reflexology. Each patient receives a thorough assessment upon being admitted into our treatment clinic. This assessment determines each patient’s individual and unique treatment needs. An appropriate and fully tailored treatment plan is then put in place. This plan affords patients with effective mental health treatment for long-term success.

About mental health disorders

The World Health Organisation claims around twelve percent of men and twenty percent of women suffer from some form of mental health problem. The severity of mental health problems varies from mild anxiety most of us experience to serious conditions such as clinical depression, agoraphobia and psychosis. Mental health problems often pose a legitimate threat to the sufferer’s life as well as their professional, family and social life. Fortunately, help is at hand. At Cassiobury Court, our gifted therapists and counsellors help many hundreds of mental health patients overcome their condition through the use of modern therapy techniques. These therapy techniques help our patients regain a healthy and rewarding future.

Specific mental health conditions we treat

Cassiobury Court is able to treat most mental health conditions. These include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and agoraphobia. The majority of these conditions are treated with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). CBT takes place in group sessions, as well as individual therapy sessions supervised by a qualified therapist. During these sessions, patients discover the thoughts and emotions giving risk to mental health problems. Patients are then taught to challenge their thoughts and emotions in healthier and rational ways.

A timeline of mental health treatment

As soon as you enter our residential rehabilitation centre for mental health problems, you receive a full physical and psychological assessment. This assessment is conducted by a medical doctor. Depending on facts raised during your pre-admissions assessment, we may request your medical records. Following your assessment, a tailored rehabilitation plan is put in place. Within the first few hours of admission, you will join therapy sessions. These sessions help you determine the causes of your mental health problems. These causes are typically traumatic events that occurred in your past, many of which are entirely subconscious. Patients typically require around four weeks of daily therapy sessions in order to finally overcome their mental health problems. Therapy sessions begin at around nine o’clock in the morning and conclude around seven o’clock in the evening. Ample time is provided for breaks during the day.
